La Casa Da Pizza

Pizza ordering and delivery

  1. The business

La Casa Da Pizza, a pizza restaurant selling directly to customers through its own app rather than a marketplace.

  2. The problem

A pizza order carries more choices than a phone call holds cleanly: sixteen recipes, a size for each, up to two extra toppings, and a loyalty count that has to be tracked order after order.

  3. What we built

An Android app that carries the order end to end: a swipeable menu of the sixteen pizzas, a size and topping picker with the price updating live, a bag that shows the stamp the order earns, and a checkout that books a delivery window on a clock-face dial before confirming with an order number and the amount paid.

  4. What changed

A customer places a full order — size, toppings, delivery window — without a call to the restaurant, and sees exactly what it earned toward the next free pizza before paying.

05Screens

The product,screen by screen.

the app

  • The menu, paged one pizza at a time: Frutti di Mare with mussels, prawns and squid, a star rating, the price for a size, and a delivery address already set at the top.
  • The same pizza with toppings open: black olives, pepperoni, onions and chilli, chilli picked, the price already updated, and quantity and add-to-bag controls below.
  • The topping row scrolled to mozzarella, basil, mushrooms and black olives, black olives added on top of chilli, and the button confirming it is in the bag.
  • The bag: one pizza with its toppings and price, a banner showing the stamp it earns toward a free pizza, a courier tip choice, a promo code field, and the total at checkout.
  • Checkout: the delivery address on a map, a clock-face dial for choosing the half-hour delivery window, and the order being placed.
  • The order-placed confirmation over the checkout screen: a tick mark, the arrival time, the order number and amount paid, the loyalty points earned, and buttons to track the order or view the receipt.
